If these Walls Could talk..... (Brevard County Photographer)

As you sit in your home during this time and look around what do you see? Do you see your walls? What fills your walls? Do you know your walls hold so much character about you and your family. About the life that you live and the activities that take place. The words that are spoken and so much more....

What if our walls could talk?? Would they tell about the love we have for our family? Would the tell us about the people that mean the most? Would the bring us joy to hear their stories?

Well your walls do talk kind of sorta. In fact you can help make them talk by the way you decorate your walls. Sadly we have lost the art of actually decorating walls. Hear me out. I know we have all watch HGTV and have fallen in love with our dear farm house girl...Joanna Gaines. BUT what I am about to say might hurt a little. You see when she decorates a home she makes it look beautiful in many ways. The colors match perfectly, the decor looks like it belongs in a magazine and everything is perfect....right? The reality of it though is there are no pictures on the walls. The people who make the house a home or not displayed and the memories to go along with the years of love and laughter sign is missing. We write "Family" in words and display it with a cute quote but what about our actual family members? Where are they? hidden on our phones and computer screens.

I know growing up my mom and grandma displayed EVERY photos. Rightfully so. They had to PRINT every photo in order to see it. So my generation has become a little overwhelmed by that process and we went the complete and opposite direction to no photos anywhere.

This breaks my heart, yet also fuels me for providing this lost service to my clients. This is why I want you to display your photos and purchase prints from me. The ones who matter should be displayed in your home and on your real walls...not just your FB wall.

So since I have had a little free time, I wanted to share some tasteful ways you too can dispaly these images...and YES...I CAN HELP! And YES past sessions can still order images to display. Need extra help, just reach out to me. I would love to help bring your walls to life with the ones you love most.....

Your baby's nursery is a great place to hang photos. You will spend  a lot of time in here the first year of life. Rocking and feeding your little one. While they may not appreciate or truly see the splendor of it all, you will look at these walls and enjoy the display of art work of your precious little one.

The Master bedroom is the most popular place I find parents hang their images from a newborn session. A baby is such an intimate display of love for many. So they want their most treasured possessions where they can see them. Plus as your little one grows it's a great place to keep their newborn photos up for years to come.

The entry way to your home is the first place that so many of us see. When we walk in or invite others into our homes. This is where you should definitely display updated family photos. The first thing you should see when you walk in should bring you joy. So why not use the ones you love for this??

So many of us spend lots of time in our living space. In fact new homes now only have one space compared to the old houses that had two separate areas (formal and non formal) So take the time to make this spot feel like home. Showcase the ones in your family for all to see. Plus studies show that when you display your children on the walls of your home, you boost their confidence.

Are you displaying the photos you love of the ones you love most in your home? Stop putting signs up that say "family" or "Live, Laugh, Love" instead show us who your family is and show us what makes you laugh. If you need help I am here to help design and create the perfect wall space.

  1. What a beautiful job you did with those photos! If that doesn't get people motivated to hang photos I dont know what will. Keep it going...... ❤
