March Of Dimes Ambassador Family {Brevard County Photographer}

Over the last 4 year I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing families through the March of Dimes. Each year I get to meet the ambassador family and share their story. It is always amazing how each story is different but all have a common ground: babies and the fight of their life. This year's family is no different.

This is Norah's story. Chelsea and DJ McQuaig were high school sweet hearts. They welcomed their first two children, Kylah and Micah, without any issues. Then they were expecting their third child Nora last year. During a routine Dr. visit at 30 weeks, Chelsea was sent to the hospital due to high blood pressure (preclampsia). Chelsea was to remain in the hospital until Norah was born. Chelsea had to stay in the hospital away from her two other children which made things even harder.

At 32 weeks, having headache along with the preclampsia, they induced her to prevent her from getting worse and risking Norah's health in any way. Norah was having troubles breathing so they had to use the surfactant therapy (research funded by the March of Dimes). Dr. Vallette was the NICU doctor taking care of Nora. Chelsea and DJ didn't get to hold their baby until she was 7 days old. She remained in the NICU for 3 weeks before coming home.

Today, Nora is a healthy, strong, and happy baby who is thriving and well. She continues to blossom into a beautiful little girl. Without the research and the funding of the March of Dimes, Norah's story may have been different. Their discoveries and dedication to healthy babies saved Norah's life.

If you are interested in getting involved or donating to the March of Dimes here is some information for you to help:

The Lecun Family {Brevard County Photographer}

Over 5 years ago, Brittany started working for the bank I worked at. She was brand new to banking but was excited to be in the industry after spending years in retail. We hit it off and there were so many days of laughter while working together. She has a one of a kind attitude. Well shortly after she got pregnant and had her first daughter and left the bank. Fast forward and she is up to 3 kids and her youngest one just turned one. Some times when you pause and look back it's a wild ride and it really does go fast. I still remember her being pregnant at work with her first baby. We would laugh at the way her poor feet would swell every single day. And now she has 3 little ones running around.

We had a great session to capture the family and celebrate the youngest one turning one. She had other ideas and did not like the cake. Some kids do and some kids don't....we just have to roll with it. Either way we captured some amazing shots of this beautiful family!

Ella's Birthday Cake Smash! {Brevard County Photographer}

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of capturing Ella for her 1 year cake smash. Her mom supplied all the decorations and I just love the simplicity of it. The gold and pink go great together. Miss Ella was cute as always but was not too interested in eating any of her cake. Smashing it was a lot of fun but could care less about the taste! Check out these fun photos of her session.

(is your little one celebrating a milestone? Let's chat about setting up a session to document this milestone. We can do themed sessions, cake smash session, painting sessions and much more. I help you create the perfect set up so you have the best experience possible)

Valentine's Themed Session were a huge hit!

For the first time I held Valentine's themed sessions and they were a huge hit! Thanks to everyone who participated in them. They were so much fun. We had a nice indoor set up so we didn't have to worry about weather and added a few fun props and we were golden. These will definitely be an annual event.
I will be hosting more themed sessions throughout the year so you can take advantage of fun set ups. I am looking at the following throughout the year:
spring themed
mommy and me
Watermelon summer time
fall themed
Christmas themed

Here's a few highlights from the set up:

Prints...Join the Movement

As your photographer it is my job to provide you with quality images. Images that are highest quality. Images that speak volumes. Images that capture life as it happens. Images that preserve precious  memories for years to come. Images that stand out and deserve to be displayed.

Over the past 5 years photography has taken a turn for our clients. We have shafted you from getting what you deserve. As photographers we have short changed your experience and took away the personalization that once was expected with every session. We stopped showing you the images in print format, stopped asking for your input and just handed you a digital storage device and wished you on your way. And quite frankly it's not working out for either of us. I miss the joy of seeing my work printed and you miss getting prints. In fact, recent feedback from my clients have all stated that they love having digital images to show on social media and to feel they have a "hard copy" that will always be safe BUT when it came time to printing the images they ***gasp*** never got around to it. This breaks my heart. You invested your time and your money into something to sit on a CD or thumb drive.

So this year I am taking a stance to change that. I heard your requests and I want to help you even more. I not only want to take amazing pictures of you and your family. I want to help you discover what sizes to print, how to display them and which ones to save for social media. Your experience with Trisha Harris Photography is going to get better! I am going to offer you even more. I have partnered with several labs to provide you with high quality images that will have the best quality paper and protection. In addition, offer you other products that will be displayed in your home as treasures instead of dust collectors.

Here are some samples of a few custom print orders I had the opportunity to do this past month:

In addition when you order images on a custom USB drive....it's just that...custom to you. With a box to store the drive and photos or other keepsake items.

Again, I want to change the way you and I view our photographs. I want them to become tangible keepsakes for you to treasure and enjoy for years to come.

Interested in the new products I have and joining the movement to print your photos, please contact me to set up a consultation. I look forward to chatting with you.

Cheers!
Trisha
