Dan and Alexis Rehearsal Dinner {Brevard County Photographer}

When I began working alongside the local March of Dimes chapter, I first met Dr. Vallette and his wife Susan. Dr. Vallette is one of the neonatal doctors at Health First. So he has first hand account of babies born early and those who spend their time in the NICU. Susan is wonderful advocate and supporter of not only her husband but the March of Dimes too with her Zumba fitness and more. Over the years we have had the pleasure of working together at the March of Dimes events.

Earlier this year their son, Dan was getting married. Susan asked me to cover the rehearsal dinner. Since I stepped away from weddings, this is not my normal session anymore. But due to the situation I was more than happy to capture this special time for them and their son. They had family come from all over so it was a nice evening of celebrating the almost newlyweds and the family they were combining. As they like to coin #habettes for the joining of these two.

Dan and Alexis had their rehearsal dinner at the Yellow Dog Cafe in Palm Bay. Their spectacular view along the Indian River provided a beautiful backdrop for their dinner experience. Susan's good friends arrived early to add a few finishing touches to the tables. I love the centerpieces they used. In fact I loved them so much I bought my mother-n-law one. They can be purchased at Sun Harbor Nursey on Eau Gallie Blvd.

They were welcomed to their dinner by friends and family alike. It was so neat to see big families like this come together from all over to share in the excitement of these two. Here are a few highlights from the evening.

Meet the Valdez Couple {Brevard COunty Photographer}

I used to work with a lot of couples when I did weddings. But since I have removed them from my service offerings, just couple shoots are slim unless it is a maternity shoot, which lets face it is a little different.

Chrissy found me on facebook through Destination Brevard's facebook page. Her and Jay had not had photos since their wedding back in Boston. Since then they moved to Florida, battled breast cancer and grew closer in love. And boy did it show. Their personalities were so much fun to work with. You could tell the rest of the world faded and they really loved everything about one another.

Chrissy is a breast cancer survivor all thanks to Jay. He actually found her lump which led to a follow up with a dr. After a long battle, she is doing well. It was so neat to hear that part of their story.

Having moved to Florida due to their love of Disney, the weather and the beaches; the beach was the ideal place to have their session. The best part was their fun willingness to get down in the water as the waves tried to carry Chrissy away. Good thing Jay was holding her tight!

Meet the Gregory Family {Brevard County Family Photographer}

I have been in my studio for a little over 6 months now and I am loving it. However, now I am thinking I need a huge space that I can have an indoor beach, field and trees. Then I would never have to worry about the rain and I have the popular outdoor locations covered. Seems like a legit idea right?

Well the Gregory family was so patient as we planned their session. The first attempt we showed up at the beach only to find it super windy. This is not ideal conditions for several reasons. And being as this was not a time sensitive session, rescheduling was our best option. Only our second attempt was during that week it was raining every single day all day long. UGH remember that? So then we had some vacation time between the two of us and finally weeks later we got it scheduled. And the weather didn't interfere although by the looks of the sky it came close.

Gina (mom) "found" me from my silent auction donation to the Brianna Marie 5k. As you know this organization and event is near and dear to me as my good friend Aran puts her heart and soul into it. Gina is also a mutual friend of Aran so she loves supporting this event and Aran. She big on my package and was the highest bidder. I love being able to donate sessions to events like this to help raise money for a great cause.

We choose Paradise Beach for the location of this shoot. Gina said she had never done a beach family session. So this was the perfect time to do it. Ironically enough her and Wade met at Ichabods directly across the street. They have two beautiful daughters Gracie and Ryleigh. They were so sweet to work. Dad was a champ during the session. As most guys are not into the whole photo thing. My own husband is the same way. I don't know why that is the case. Nonetheless we captured some sweet moments for this sweet family.

Mom styled this session on point. The colors complimented everyone and the location so well. They balanced one another while each having their own look. I loved everything about this session.

Summer Specials {Brevard County Photographer}

Summer time is here and I know lots of families will be taking vacation and enjoying a time with less hectic schedules. Instead of waiting for the end of the year for pictures I wanted to extend some special pricing to you. Valid all summer long (pending rain these days)

Our first Special is for newborn sessions. Book a newborn session for the month of June and receive 20% off ordering appointment. New bookings only and June dates.

Our Second special is the Endless Summer Silhouettes! This are a favorite of many especially the guys. There is no dress code, no hair or make up needed. Casual clothes are preferred. This session is about 15 minutes as we capture a series of poses right before sunset when the sky is colorful. You will receive 5 digital images  and a 16 x 20 canvas of your favorite image.

Finally the third special is the Family Mini Session. This is a great time of year to get those family photos our of the way while the kids are out of school. Get a head start on Christmas gifts for grandparents and making your Christmas cards. You will get a 30 minute session at an outdoor location, plus 5 digital images for $250
