Celebrating 60 years {Brevard County Photographer}

One thing I learned young as a kid from my parents is that you never know when you will cross paths with someone again. So always leave a good impression. This has been so true in my photography as people have come back into my life for me to photograph them. About 10 years ago, I started selling scrapbooking material through Creative Memories and Ginny was my up-line. I didn't last long with that company because sales are not my thing and the company later changed but Ginny remembered me from others spreading my name when it came time to photograph her parents 60th wedding anniversary.

This was such a fun shoot. We had about 28 people present ranging from tiny great grand baby to grandma and grandpa. It is always neat to see family members over multiple generations. To see how the family has evolved over the years. How because two people fell in love and started something it grew into something amazing. This was a fun bunch. We had lots of laughs and a great time. We also took so many pictures and everyone was so willing to participate which made the day fun. I also had Becky from Captured Blessings by Becky come along as my assistant. She was GREAT. I definitely needed another set of hands that day and she was awesome to work with.

Don and Marge wed 60 years ago, had 4 beautiful children (3 daughters and 1 son), 10 grand-kids and 4 great grandkids! I just think that is so awesome that all (but one) were present. Their one grandson is overseas in the military as was not able to make it. But his sister had his picture on her phone and we got a really neat shot (scroll to see).

This session celebrated their 60 years of wedded bliss and kind of a family reunion at the same time. Since we had everyone together, it only made sense to have everyone get updated family pictures. It was a beautiful location and great weather too! Take a look at this beautiful family with so many things to celebrate!

Senior Portrait Session {Brevard County Senior Photographer}

It's hard to believe that the school year is almost over. I swear when I was in school the days took forever to end and summer never came this quick....I know I sound old but it's true. As much as I love being an adult, some days I do wish I could go back to the days of high school. I had a great group of friends that we spent all the time together. Life was pretty stress-free (or at least looking back it was).

Senior Sessions are always a fun time. This is a time to bring out their personality and capture what means the most to them. Justin and his family were referred to me (thank you for the referral) by another friend. Did I tell you I love referrals?? Mom was looking for something a little different with a slight traditional look but able to capture Justin and his hobbies. Justin has been a member of the band and plays the french horn as well as an avid surfer. So we started our journey out in Cocoa Village. It was the perfect spot for us to showcase him with his horn and his creative side. We also got to capture him in cap and gown in more "traditional" style shots that we were looking for. After that, we hit up the pier at Cocoa Beach. I felt bad for Justin, this was the last cold snap of the season and it was windy and cold. So we didn't get any surfing shots in but we did get some nice beach shots.

Justin will be graduating from Viera High School later this month and has already been accepted to a university as part of their marching band. How awesome is that!?!?! I wish Justin the best of luck in his college career!

Now is the time to start planning for the Class of 2018 senior sessions. If you are interested in putting your own spin on your session and making it all about you and the things you like most, contact me today. I would love to chat with you and set something up.

Maternity Session {Brevard County Maternity Photographer}

The Roark family have a lot to celebrate....a new baby on the way. This will be their third little boy and I cannot wait to meet him. I know he is going to be loved so much by his two older brothers and parents. If there's one thing I can attest to, it's that he will have lots of worms and dirt in his future. His big bothers are all boy and love getting dirty and having fun! I cannot wait to see the memories they create and capture a few a long the way for them.

A month ago, we met up to capture this sweet memory for them to cherish....waiting on baby Brecken. First off Momma looks amazing!!! She is just so beautiful as she carries the sweet baby inside her. We started off with some traditional family and couple poses then we transitioned to more intimate images of mom and belly. Cade insisted on hanging around while I took his momma's picture. He said she looked so pretty in my gown and he is sooo right! He was my special assistant too. He helped me throw the train up in the air to have a more flowy look and even took some pictures of his sweet momma. I LOVE LOVE LOVE when kids engage in photo sessions and want to help. It just helps grow their creativity too!

Maternity sessions are a great way to remember this season in your life. Carrying life is a gift and should be celebrated and remembered. The best time to have maternity images taken is usually around 30-33 weeks. I provide my clients with access to maternity gowns free of charge as part of their session fee. Are you expecting and want to capture this season of life? Let's chat. I want to help create timeless memories for you to cherish for years to come!
