Continuing education {Brevard County Newborn Photographer}

Ever since I wanted to be a newborn photographer I knew I needed special training. I took my first workshop over 4 years ago. Today I continue to take workshops led by seasoned photographers to keep my skills up to date and the importance of newborn safety at the top of my list. Just like with any  profession- nursing, engineering, banking, etc. your employer requires ongoing training to keep you up to date with the latest trends for your field and to keep you fresh and motivated.

So as my own boss, I have to do the same. I love teaching but I also love learning. So when Rachel with SunShine Photography in Jacksonville was looking for places to hold workshops I jumped on the idea. Having just opened my studio space I was excited. One of my visions for my studio is to be offer my clients an amazing experience inside the studio from the time they enter to the time they leave with their images. BUT I also visioned my studio opening it's doors to others to learn and grow in their photography journey too.

Rachel had a packed day planned for us. However, things didn't go as planned. The first baby was awake the whole time and not interested in being wrapped or working with us. The second baby was a dream. Then we were supposed to have two models and 2pm and twins at 4pm. One of our 2 pm models didn't show and the twins weren't able to make it. So we only had the one baby at 2pm. She was perfect in every way. Mom let us continue to work with her to get our training in. It was so sweet of her to stay a little longer than planned.

There were 3 other photographers that attended the workshop with me from all over Fl. We had a great time learning from one another and perfecting the poses. Rachel posed the first two babies and then the final baby was posed by the workshop attendees only. So that was a nice treat to be able to practice the poses right away.

I am always striving to grow in my journey and provide my clients with the best images possible. I want their baby safe at all times and never risk the safety of their baby for a pose.

Here are some of the shots I captured during the workshop.
