Wyatt is LUCKY to be one! {Brevard County Cake Smash Photographer}

Wyatt was part of the Baby Plan that I offer so watching him grow this past year has been pure joy. I loved seeing his little personality just bloom over the year.

Since he was born on St Patrick's Day it made sense to give him a St. Patrick's day theme cake smash. He thought he was a luck guy with this set up. So it worked. We started with some sibling photos outside since he is one of four. His older sibling just love him to pieces. Then we moved inside and he tore up his cake. The black icing was great for ensuring we saw the icing on his face. Looks like a little mustache. This was a fun set up since we had incorporated St. Patty's day into the newborn session too. He loved splashing in the tub and bubbles galore. This session was a hit and Wyatt loved every second of it.

Arni is Flying in ONE! {BRevard County Cake Smash Photographer}

When your daddy works on planes it is only customary that you have a plane themed cake smash session. That is exactly what mom and I planned for this sweet boys one year session. Thanks to my sister she had the huge airplane prop and outfit for us to use. Mom of course loved the set up.

We started outside with family photos. I love the simplicity of these photos. Then we moved inside for the cake smash and splash fun. He literally dove into his cake face first. I love when they do that. Then we turned on some music and he began to bust a move and dance for us. He flashed the sweetest little smile that just melts my heart to look at. We finished off with splash in the tub for some clean up fun. This was definitely a fun session to capture and I know mom and dad were excited with the final results.

Lennon's One Year Cake Smash Session {Brevard County Photographer}

I know I have said it before, but not all babies love their cake smash session. Not really sure why? Texture? Over stimulated? Who knows? So, I always try to provide a few different options for capturing your little one. With Lennon, she started out great. Slowly hated the cake and wearing clothes (hahaha) and moved onto being completely naked. Then we were able to slip back on her tutu and let her have some cake, but regardless she was not about the tub and splashing. She absolutely hated it and her looks are priceless.

Mom choose the unicorn cake smash since she had the unicorn lovely since she was born. This is her safety net and she loves it to pieces. We even used it during the session. She sure is a cute little unicorn one year old.

Cake sessions are always so much fun. Just like this session, you never know what will happen. That is why we never try to force anything and go with the cues your sweet one gives us. They are ultimately in charge and I just capture the cuteness along the way.

And yes, the crying ones are adorable. One day your little one will no longer cry. They will no longer cry for you, in pain or out of distress. They will grow older and handle emotions and situations differently. And while, we patiently long for that day, we will also miss the sweetness in their cry. Their cries say they need you. That only you can comfort them. So, mamas, don’t discredit the crying photos. Embrace them, love them and cherish them. One day they will no longer cry for you to hold and embrace them.
