So many sweet memories!!! {Brevard Count Photographer}

It seems one thing is very clear since the start of COVID, people are really engaging as families more than ever before. And one thing I notice is they want to capture their sweet family more than ever. So many people have really taken advantage of the crazy new normal and have embraced the blessings that have actually come from it. More time with family, more time at a home, more way to make memories. I know for others their have also been sad times, as those they love may have dealt with this disease or they can't go and see others they want to as regularly. Which is also why I think the need for photos has become even more crucial. It has showed us that time is of the essence. We can't freeze time. We can't put the pause button on life. COVID may have paused or halted a lot of stuff but life continued to go on.

Pregnancies happened, babies were born, little ones achieved milestone, big kids blossomed into their youth and so on. And it is during all these moments that we are living out our lives. So we can't go to Disney every weekend or gather in large crowds for a while, but we always had our family right there by our side and that was so important.

 As the holiday season rolls around, I am so excited to spread all the cheer we can and to see so many families continuing to embrace one another and have fun making memories. I am so grateful I get to be a small part of these special moments for so many too. It warms my heart to know that many times, the happiest moment of a mama's pregnancy right now is her maternity session. Or that the newborn photos were dreamed of for years are  now a reality. Or maybe that family session has finally been checked of the to do list after years of thinking about it. I know every family I have worked with so far has been amazing.

Here is just some of the fun we have been capturing this past month.....

Our Partnership with Healthy Start Of Brevard {Brevard County Photographer}

 When Lisa with Healthy Start reached out to me about some marketing needs, I have to admit, I had no idea who she was or who Healthy Start was. Thanks to Pat at Rockledge Regional, she shared my name with them. So I naturally checked out their website to see if we were a good fit and I was blown away by this organization. Here is a portion of their about us page

Florida’s Healthy Start was enacted by state legislation in 1991 with the goals of reducing infant mortality, reducing the number of low birth weight babies and improving health and developmental outcomes for all Florida’s babies.

Healthy Start Coalitions are non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the health of pregnant women and babies in a community. Through 32 state Healthy Start Coalitions, local community input is used to plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive system of care for pregnant women and children, up to age three, that are determined to be “at risk”.

The Healthy Start Coalition of Brevard County, Inc. is a private, non-profit, 501(c) 3 organization funded through the State of Florida’s Healthy Start Initiative with local matching contributions and in-kind services.

Healthy Start is a sound investment for Florida’s children and Florida’s taxpayers. A healthy baby saves state tax dollars: for every $1 spent on preventing an unhealthy birth, $6 is saved in neonatal intensive care costs, recurrent hospital and medical expenses paid by Medicaid, exceptional and remedial education, child abuse and neglect investigations, disability and dependency costs.

 A non profit agency helping to ensure moms and babies are healthy and have resources to go to during this often difficult time. While a baby is joyful for so many, it can also be stressful for many too. The best thing about this organization, it is FREE and it is available to anyone. So many women in this area are new here from moving due to jobs or school and this is a great way to find help when you really don't know where to turn.

I had the pleasure of working alongside several families to capture their sweet babies and bellies. The message from each of them was clear, they were grateful for the services Healthy Start provided them and it impacted their journey into motherhood so much. WOW how amazing is that.

If you are expecting and looking for additional care and resources now or once your baby arrives, please reach out to them. This is a list of a few of the services they offer:

• Care Coordination
• Childbirth Education
• Breastfeeding Education
• Tobacco Education & Cessation
• Nutrition Counseling
• Psychosocial Counseling
• Parenting Support & Education
• Interconceptional Education
• Community Referrals

Be sure to check out their page for more information too
