The other weekend I got to meet one of my husband's co-workers. Justin is a driver for Waste Management but works down in Vero, about a half hour-- forty-five minutes for home. He works alone for the most part and long hours so hanging out with his co-workers rarely happens. But Bob his lead mechanic and him have a great bond. They both enjoy each other and work well together. So Bob has been trying to get Justin to come to his place in Stuart, Fl for a while now. Life kept getting in the way. So Bob figured I'll get his wife down here then he will have to hang out with me. Well it worked. :)
Bob's son Robert and his wife Amanda welcomed their first born into the world in February. Little Miss Wyllow. So we went down to Stuart to capture this beautiful bundle of joy, the family and hang out. It was so neat to see my husband support me on a shoot. He goes to a few with me, but mostly family. This was his first time seeing me with a newborn. He was very supportive.
Bob was an amazing host. He cooked us homemade spaghetti and meatballs (delicious by the way) and even had gluten free pasta for me. It was a great Sunday afternoon. And little Miss Wyllow did amazing. We got some awesome shots and she didn't even cry too much.

A new style of Photography
A few weeks ago we posted a little tease on our FaceBook page about our fun Boudoir Session we had. Well that kind of blew up in our face as there were a few people who were very upset over this and felt the need to share. So we agreed to not place those images on FB, however the internet is full of different venues for posting images and sharing stuff. We have our Website where we will feature a few of the images and our blog page here that we can share freely with you. If you don't want to see these images, don't click the links and certainly don't keep reading. ;)
We had two beautiful models for our first every Boudoir Marathon. It was such a FUN day. These two ladies did an awesome job. (due to special requests only 1 model will be shown) My super talented sister Dawn was our stylist for the day. She is a licensed hair and make-up stylist so these girls were in great hands. Good thing, because this is NOT my specialty. Each model was pampered for about an hour getting her hair and make-up styled. Then we began shooting. It was a lot of fun as we rotated so there was never that boredom moment really. We all talked, laughed and just had a great day of being girls. Think back to your childhood years when you would play dress up- remember how much fun that was?! This was the adult version.
Reyna, our model we will be sharing with you is absolutely stunning in so many ways. She is comfortable in her own skin, which made my job even easier. The part I loved the most was that she was not afraid. I know this style of photography can be scary and you can feel vulnerable, but please know, the idea is to show you that you are beautiful and that your body is too. We all have scars, imperfections, extra weight in one area, or whatever the flaw we notice but the idea is to look past all of that and see you for you. Not to mention I have watched several teaching videos and read countless articles on how to pose you so that these flaws melt away and you see past them and just the beauty at hand. The other part I loved, was that she was doing this for her husband. He actually knew ahead of time about this and trust me when I say he was excited. That's what we want to create...excitement with you and your spouse. There are so many things pulling you away from one another, our time is short and we get distracted. Maybe we have changed a little over the years, but the truth is our men love us more than we know. We need to love ourselves like they do and we need to give them something to always look at and treasure.
I seriously cannot wait for the next marathon. Stay tuned as you will not want to miss out. This will be a fun time of being a girl, feeling beautiful and embracing the bodies we are given.

Emma turns 2
About a month ago sweet little Emma turned 2. I have had the pleasure of working with her since she was about 6months old. I just love this little girls spunky personality. She is such a joy to work with. So we started the session off with a tea party. After all she needed a good cup of tea to get ready for the day. We even had cupcakes for the birthday girl!
Then we had to look pretty for a few more pictures. So we had to fix our hair.
Now she was all set to strut her stuff and model for me.
After her outfit change we got some great family photos. Such a beautiful family. Their love just radiates from one another. So precious!
We let Miss Emma take a break and got some amazing shots of mom and dad. They really are a cute couple!
And for the grand finale we finished off with a blast from the past. Her mom was a huge softball player growing up and fan of A League of Their Own- which happens to be my all time favorite show too. So when she told me about her Halloween costume from last year, I had to get pictures of her in it. With Emma's red hair she is a mini Dottie Henson to a T! LOVE LOVE LOVE this!
Can't wait for the next milestone in this little girl's life. She really is a joy to work with and brings so many smiles to every shoot.

The Naversen Wedding
A little over a month ago I had the pleasure of shooting one of the most beautiful weddings ever. (I know we say that about every wedding). This one was extremely special though. Meet Nathan and Pamela.Their story is beautiful. They both love the Lord and believed somewhere God had a specific person for each of them. So they waited until the day would come when God would allow them to meet. And it did. At a friend's birthday party just shy of a year ago. Immediately they had a connection and knew this was the one God had set aside for me. How amazing is that?!
So on January 17th, in the presence of God, their families and their friends, they shared their vows and became husband and wife. It was such a beautiful ceremony held at St. Andrews Chapel in Sanford, Fl. (seriously you need to go a see this place. Not to mention RC Sproul is the pastor there so you will get a great message).
Their reception was held at Noah Events in Lake Mary and was a fun time. They had a candy bar, photo booth and for dinner they did a potato bar (the bride is Irish and loves potatoes).
